Education and Experience:
Dr JMK Murthy, after obtaining MBBS degree from Andhra University, Waltair he did post-graduation (MD) in internal medicine from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, PGMER, Chandigarh. Subsequently he wanted to do specialization in Neurology and did DM (Neurology), PGMER, Chandigarh. After his specialization in Neurology he joined as Assistant Professor of Neurology, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad in 1979 and was promoted as Professor of Neurology in September, 1984. Later he shifted to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, as Associate Professor of Neurology in September, 1986. He was promoted as Professor of Neurology and Head of the Department of Neurology in June 1989. He worked in that capacity till October 2000. Subsequently he worked as Chief of Neurology, CARE Hospitals, Hyderabad from September, 2020. Recently he shifted to Renova Institute of Neurological Sciences (RINS), Hyderabad in April, 2024.
